LEARNING WITH A DIFFERENCE

At IHS the system adapted is as under:

Plan…..Teach……Check…..Revise……Test

The above steps followed by the teacher is to ensure that every child progresses and the teaching is according to the child's individual needs. There are no formal examinations in the junior classes. Surprise tests are conducted to reduce the burden on children and develop interest and better understanding of the subject matter.

The School has successfully implemented a continuous and comprehensive evaluation system according to the C.B.S.E. guidelines to reduce the burden and improve learning with concept formation.

English, which is now a global language, is used as the medium of communication. Stress is laid on fluency in English through dramatics, debates, seminars, speech, creative writing competitions and role plays etc.

We believe that subjects are learnt by doing. For which experiments, field trips, science fairs, exhibitions, project work and workshops are a regular feature at IHS

We develop the creative potential of the children through Art and craft, dance, music, drama etc. Special emphasis is laid on moral and spiritual values, understanding the diversity and beauty of different cultures and striving for perfection.

We nurture every child's potential to become the best he/she can possibly be.

Technology @ IHS

Education today personifies the dawn of the digital generation. At IHS we believe in harnessing the tremendous potential of technology to the maximum utilization. The need to include information technology in classroom teaching steered us to set up and utilize Multimedia which assists the teachers to facilitate their teachings with practical examples.
 
Use of various interactive software, LCD Projector and O.H.P. makes learning easier and fun. We have a tie-up with Educomp & extra marks for conducting smart classes.
 
We have pioneered the introduction of computer education for students from standard Ist to senior classes in our Schools.
